Sudden bilateral hearing loss after spinal anesthesia for elective hemorrhoidectomy surgery

Abstract
Spinal anesthesia is the most regional anesthetic technique used in surgical procedures under the umbilicus. Spinal anesthesia may cause headaches and hearing loss. It is unnoticeable in most patients. Our patient underwent spinal anesthesia due to hemorrhoid surgery. The patient suffered from sudden bilateral hearing loss in the postoperative fourth day. We present the case in the light of related literature data.
